Весна в феврале

Весна идет полным ходом, уже отцветают подснежники, зацвели крокусы и примулы, а на кизиле вот-вот лопнут цветочные почки. Кажется словно
время сделало скачок из февраля в апрель. Пчелы удивляют своей кипучей энергией, наверно, соскучились за зиму по работе. Подснежники это для
них сейчас единственный богатый источник нектара. Носятся над цветками словно последний раз, похоже, если попадешься у них на пути - собьют с ног.

Вчера весь день моросил дождь. Пошел вечером выдернуть стебель молодого чеснока для салата, легонько потянул за листья и вытащил совсем без
усилий, потому что земля пропиталась влагой сантиметров на двадцать. Это прекрасный задел для будущего урожая. В такую влажную почву сейчас
хорошо посеять зелень, морковку и лук, всходы будут равномерными и дружными.

С Масленицей вас, друзья! Пора зиму провожать, блины печь!

Well, I saw where you mentioned something about a Carnival, and pancakes, and "seeing off" in the green letters at the bottom of your post up there. So, yes, I decided to go see what that meant, and sure enough, it all tied in with the Lent season beginning and everyone celebrating Winter coming to an end. I never want to see Winter end, but lately I have enjoyed celebrating with you! :D

That's the kind of Maslenitsa we have here! The name of this holiday comes from the word "maslo"- butter, which pancakes grease:)
